Granita with Sicilian Lemons
Summer is coming, the days are getting drier, what could be better than a nice granita made with Sicilian lemons??! Simple to prepare even at home, you just need to have:
- 500 ml of Sicilian lemon juice;
- 500 ml water;
- 250 g sugar.
As a first step, pour 500 ml of water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil, so that when you add the 250 g of sugar, it dissolves completely, resulting in a syrupy mixture. Once the sugar is dissolved, turn off the flame and let it cool. Once the mixture has cooled, add the 500ml of filtered Sicilian lemon juice and stir with a whisk for a couple of minutes, pour everything into a closed container to put in the freezer. Before enjoying your Sicilian Lemon Granita, blend it in a blender so as to break up all the ice crystals.
